- high cart abandonment rate
- mobile visitors not converting

Ask an ExpertCase study: luxury furniture store
How a Luxury Furniture Store Doubled Its Online Sales
A real client, kept anonymous at their request. A small Canadian furniture retailer selling high-end designer pieces, including the Jonathan Adler collection, with beautiful products and a website that was not doing them justice.
Where they started
The store carried pieces that sell for serious money, but the website felt like a catalogue from another decade. Product photos were small, the layout broke on phones and there was nothing that made a shopper feel they were buying from a luxury retailer. Visitors arrived, browsed a few pieces and left. Plenty added items to their cart, then disappeared before checkout.
When we looked at session recordings, the pattern was clear. Mobile shoppers struggled to zoom into fabrics and finishes, could not find delivery information, and lost their place every time they opened a product. On desktop, the checkout asked for too much, too early.
What we changed on the website
We redesigned the site from the ground up around how their customers behave. Large, zoomable images. Clear dimensions, materials and lead times right next to the add to cart button. A sticky cart button on mobile. Delivery and white-glove setup details shown before checkout instead of after. A shorter, calmer checkout with fewer fields.
We also built a brand around the website: a consistent look, refined typography, warm product storytelling and small touches that made customers feel they were dealing with a premium store. Shoppers spending thousands on a sofa want to feel confident, and the new site gave them that feeling.
The email funnel that paid for everything
Next, we set up an abandoned cart email funnel, timed and written for high-value furniture buyers who often take a few days to decide. The emails answered the questions people had before buying, showed the piece in a styled room and made it easy to come back to the cart.
Inside the first month, that one funnel brought in enough recovered orders to cover everything the store had invested with us. You can read how we build these flows on our email marketing page.
Social media that brought the right people in
Finally, we put a social media marketing strategy in place that showed the collection in real homes, highlighted new arrivals and sent warm, interested shoppers back to the newly designed product pages. Better traffic plus a site built to convert is what took sales from around five thousand to around ten thousand.
Brands carried include Jonathan Adler. The store is not named at the client's request.
One package, built around your store
What Does a Conversion Rate Optimization Package Include?
We keep this simple. There is one conversion package, and we shape it around your website, your products and the leaks we find. Some stores need a full redesign. Others need a smarter cart, faster mobile pages and an abandoned cart flow. You only pay for what moves your sales.
Our services are very affordable for small and medium businesses, and we plan the work so the extra revenue covers the cost as quickly as possible. Contact us for a quote based on your site.

Where we improve conversions
How We Improve Conversion Rates on Each Part of Your Site
Every part of the buying journey can leak sales. Choose an area to see what we look for and what we usually change.
Product page optimization that answers buying questions
A product page has one job: give a shopper enough confidence to add the item to their cart. We study where visitors scroll, what they tap and where they stop reading. Usually the missing pieces are clear images, sizes and materials near the button, delivery timing, return information and proof that real people buy from you.
We then rebuild the page layout so the important details sit above the fold on every device. On furniture, fashion and home decor stores, larger zoomable images and lifestyle photos often make the biggest difference.
- Zoomable, fast-loading product images
- Key details next to the add to cart button
- Delivery, returns and warranty shown early
Increasing add to cart rate and cart completion
If people view products but rarely add them to the cart, the button, price display or options are often the problem. If they add items but leave from the cart page, it is usually surprise costs, unclear delivery or too many distractions.
We add features like sticky add to cart buttons on mobile, mini carts that do not take shoppers away from browsing, shipping estimates in the cart and clear next steps. Each change is measured so we keep what works.
- Sticky add to cart on phones
- Shipping and delivery estimates in the cart
- Fewer distractions on the cart page
Checkout optimization that reduces abandonment
Checkout is where hard-won sales are lost. Long forms, forced account creation, missing payment options and slow pages all push shoppers away at the last step.
We shorten the form, offer guest checkout, add the payment methods your customers expect and place trust signals right where people hesitate. For high-value items, we also make it easy to ask a question without leaving checkout.
- Guest checkout and shorter forms
- Payment options customers expect
- Trust signals at the point of hesitation
Mobile conversion optimization for every device
Most visitors now arrive on a phone, but many sites are still designed on a large monitor. Buttons that are too small, menus that hide key pages and images that load slowly all hurt mobile sales.
We review your site on phones, tablets and desktops separately, then adjust layouts, button sizes, spacing and image loading for each. How your site looks and works on each device is treated as its own project.
- Thumb-friendly buttons and menus
- Layouts tuned for phone, tablet and desktop
- Faster image loading on mobile data
Improving form conversions for service businesses
For service businesses, the conversion is a call, a booking or a quote request. Long forms, unclear pricing language and hidden phone numbers cost leads every day.
We simplify forms, add click-to-call buttons, show what happens after someone submits and place the form where visitors are most ready to act. This is the same approach we use on our own site.
- Shorter forms with clear next steps
- Click-to-call on every mobile page
- Forms placed where intent is highest
Landing page optimization for paid traffic
Paying for clicks that land on a generic homepage wastes money. Visitors from ads need a page that matches the ad, explains the offer quickly and makes the next step obvious.
We build and test focused landing pages for your campaigns, so every dollar spent on Google Ads management or social ads produces more sales or leads.
- Pages that match the ad message
- One clear offer and one clear action
- Tested headlines and layouts
What shoppers do before buying
What Do Online Shoppers Search Before They Buy?

Showrooms and Google Maps
How Does Google Maps Help a Store Convert More Visitors?
For stores with a showroom or pickup location, many buyers check Google Maps before they ever visit the website. That listing is part of your conversion path.
Shoppers searching Google Maps Toronto, Mississauga or Oakville for a furniture store or boutique often decide in seconds whether to visit, call or click through to your site. Your local map pack ranking decides whether they see you at all, and the listing itself decides whether they act.
We treat the listing as the first page of your funnel. Google Business Listing optimization covers accurate categories, opening hours, products, real showroom photos, a link to the right page and a clear description of what makes your store worth visiting. A strong Google Business Profile sends better-prepared visitors to your site and your door.
When the profile and the website tell the same story, conversion rates go up on both. Customers arrive already trusting you, which means more showroom visits, more calls and more completed checkouts.
Listing details that lift conversions
- Products: featured pieces shown on the listing
- Showroom photos: real rooms, not stock images
- Website link: pointed at the collection page that converts best
- Hours and pickup: accurate, so visits never end at a locked door
- Description: written like your brand, with delivery and services
More showroom visits
Clear directions and photos turn map views into people walking through the door.
Warmer website visitors
People who click from a strong listing arrive ready to buy.
More calls before purchase
High-value buyers often call first. Make it one tap.

Behaviour analysis
How Do You Analyse Customer Behaviour on a Website?
Numbers tell you that something is wrong. Behaviour shows you why. We combine analytics with tools that show what real visitors do, then look for patterns across hundreds of sessions rather than reacting to one recording.
Everything we find is turned into a ranked list of fixes, starting with the changes most likely to recover lost revenue. If your site also has crawling or speed problems, our technical SEO services team fixes those at the same time.
- Heatmaps showing where people click and scroll
- Session recordings across phones and desktops
- Funnel reports from product view to purchase
- Form analytics showing which fields cause drop-off
- Site search terms showing what shoppers cannot find
- Speed and layout checks on real devices
What we fix
Why Do Visitors Leave Without Buying?
Surprise costs at checkout
Shipping or delivery fees that appear late are one of the most common reasons carts are abandoned.
A site that does not work well on phones
Small buttons, slow images and hidden menus push mobile shoppers away.
Not enough product information
Shoppers leave to find dimensions, materials or delivery details somewhere else and do not come back.
No reason to trust the store
Missing contact details, unclear returns and an inconsistent brand make people hesitate.
No follow-up after they leave
Without an abandoned cart flow, interested shoppers are simply forgotten.
FAQ
Conversion Rate Optimization Questions
What is conversion rate optimization?
Conversion rate optimization, or CRO, is the work of getting more of your existing visitors to buy, book or contact you. Instead of paying for more traffic, we study how people use your site, find where they hesitate or leave, and fix those spots. Small changes to product pages, cart steps and buttons often add up to a large lift in sales.
How do you know what to change on my website?
We look at real behaviour before touching anything. Session recordings, heatmaps, scroll depth, form drop-off and checkout analytics show us where shoppers get stuck. We combine that with a detailed review of your product pages, mobile layout and trust signals, then rank the fixes by how much revenue they are likely to recover.
How long does it take to see more sales from CRO?
Quick wins, such as fixing a confusing cart step or a slow mobile page, can show results within a few weeks. Larger changes like a redesigned product page are tested and measured over one to three months so we know they actually work. The luxury furniture store we describe on this page earned back what it spent with us in the first month.
Is CRO only for online stores?
No. Service businesses, clinics and B2B companies use CRO to turn more visitors into calls, bookings and quote requests. The tools are the same: understand behaviour, remove friction and make the next step obvious, especially on a phone.
Do you work with Shopify and WooCommerce stores?
Yes. Most of the stores we improve run on Shopify or WooCommerce. We can add features based on how your customers behave, such as sticky add to cart buttons, smarter product filters, delivery estimates, trust badges near checkout and abandoned cart flows.
How much does conversion rate optimization cost?
Because every store leaks sales in different places, we quote after reviewing your site. Our services are very affordable, and we plan the work so recovered sales pay for it as quickly as possible.
