Karate School SEO Case Study: Two Mississauga Locations From Page 4 to Page 1
A karate school with two locations in Mississauga was stuck on pages 4 and 5 of Google, where very few parents ever look. Seven to eight months later, its main searches were on page 1 and its blog was ranking for more than 200 new keywords.

The starting point
Two locations, buried on page 4
The school runs two locations in Mississauga. When parents searched for karate or martial arts classes nearby, the school sat on pages 4 and 5 of Google. Families were choosing other schools before they ever saw it.
For a martial arts school, that matters more than for most businesses. Parents compare a few options, book a trial class and often stay for years. If you are not on page 1 when they search, you rarely get that first visit.
The goal was simple: get both locations onto page 1 for the searches parents actually use, and build steady new enquiries for trial classes. This followed the same process behind our local SEO services.

The work
Eight months, three phases
Rankings do not jump overnight. They climb as Google re-crawls the site, trusts the new content and counts the new links.
Foundation
Full audit of the website and both Google Business Profiles. Each location got its own page with its own address, schedule and neighbourhood details, and the site structure was cleaned up so Google could tell the two locations apart.
Content and authority
Fifteen blog posts a month answered the questions parents search before choosing a school. Every month, 20 to 25 outreach backlinks from relevant Canadian and fitness sites added authority. Rankings climbed steadily from pages 4 and 5.
Page 1
The main searches for both locations reached page 1, and the blog had brought in more than 200 new keywords, many already on pages 1 and 2.
What made the difference
The blog brought in 200+ new keywords
15helpful posts every month,
written for parents
Parents research for weeks before they book a first class. Each post answered one of their real questions, in plain words, and linked to the right class page.
Over the months, those posts added more than 200 new keywords to the site, many on pages 1 and 2. They also gave other sites a reason to link to the school, which supported the outreach link building.
Examples of the kinds of questions the blog answered.
Three lessons for any martial arts school
Give every location its own page
Two schools on one page compete with each other. Separate location pages let each one rank in its own part of the city.
Answer parents' questions
Parents research for weeks before booking a trial class. A blog that answers their questions builds trust and brings in hundreds of new searches.
Stay consistent for months
This campaign reached page 1 in months 7 and 8. Schools that stop after three months usually stop just before the results show.
